Heroes Jason 4.jpg

Jason Lowe

(President)

Jason co-founded HK Brewcraft in 2013 and then later Heroes Beer Co in 2017. He is a BJCP Certified Judge and a Certified Cicerone. Jason has a goal to put craft beer into the mainstream F&B scene. He believes craft beer should not be considered "niche" - it is an irreversible, fundamental change that no one in F&B can afford to ignore.

Patricia Lam

(Treasurer)

Born and bred in Hong Kong, Pat is 100% Honkie but speaks fluent English / Cantonese, understandable Putonghua and very broken Spanish.

Hustled as a solicitor for a couple of years before she switched to help with the family’s laminates business - this humbled her, as it made her realize how much blood and sweat went into each dollar that was made.

Just before she quit law, she also started a kombucha brewery named after their mongrel (Taboocha!) with her sister Lisa in 2014 - a 100% made in Hong Kong health drink which rocked her world.

Today, Pat focuses more on keeping Taboocha afloat together with her partner/sister whilst being her version of the best role model for her Colombian-Chinese mixed daughter.

Excited to serve as part of the CBA board - with baby number 2 on the way Pat will try her hardest to work and respond efficiently remotely in the initial couple of months!!

Chris Wong

Chris Wong is one of the forerunners of Hong Kong’s craft beer movement. He started off with opening HK’s first homebrew shop, HK Brewcraft, and building the BJCP scene in the city. He then ventured into constructing a 6000HL capacity brewery in a high-rise factory building for Owlsome Group, the largest craft beer importer in HK. He is now the General Manager of Carbon Brews, an employees-driven brewery, as well as Co-Founder and Head Brewer of Heroes Beer Co., where he creates unique beers based off of Hong Kong beer heroes. He also co-owns the City’s finest taprooms, TAP - The Ale Project and Second Draft.
